Daily Question: Who You Gonna Call?

"Who you gonna call?" I've borrowed this line from the original Ghostbusters movie.  I thought of the famous line when I read the sixth verse of Zephaniah.  I struggled with this verse for several weeks.  It spoke to me about influence.  Who I look to for advice?  Who others look to?  Who looks to me?  It was sobering.

 I know there are two worlds. I have a "Foot" in each one.  I try to insulate myself and live in the One world but the other world still affects my life. 

I don't understand the other world's basic principles.  What little I do scares me!  The other world thinks of the now, seeks the sparkly and thirsts for fame.  The other world has no thought of the future, consequence of action or others.  The other world is consumed by Self. 

The other world seeks the counsel of the famous, the pretty and the moneyed.

This verse in Zephaniah stirs the question:  Do I use the same counsel for my life choices? 

The weeks of wrestling reminded me.  Remember when you point your finger at something, three fingers are pointing back at you.

Zephaniah reminds me:  When I need counsel call The One True God.
